The Natural Environment Bill:

Let's make history!

For the first time in Scotland's history, we could soon have Swift bricks and nature targets enshrined in law.

MSPs are about to take part in the final vote on the Natural Environment Bill.

In this last push, we need your help to make sure politicians stand up for Scotland’s incredible wildlife. Email your MSPs now.

Swift bricks

Scotland could become the first country in the UK to make Swift nesting bricks (also known as Swift bricks) into law.

Swifts are aerial acrobats, visiting Scotland each summer. But they are in rapid decline and could soon disappear from our skies forever.

Making Swift bricks mandatory on all new builds is a small but mighty measure which could help replace some of the vital nesting spots these precious birds have lost. Join our call for Swift bricks now.

Nature targets

One in nine species is at risk of disappearing from Scotland for ever, from Puffins to Red Squirrels. The Natural Environment Bill could, for the very first time in Scotland, introduce legal targets to restore nature. This could be a genuine gamechanger, driving real action for wildlife across Scotland.

If we get this right, this could be a real turning point, bringing Scotland’s landscapes bursting back to life. Join our call for strong nature targets now.
