Nature needs you!

A string of actions shows the UK Government is no friend to nature. They must listen to the public and change course.

They decided not to include simple measures in the Planning Bill that would have protected precious species, like Swift bricks; or protection for irreplaceable habitats, like chalk streams.

And most recently, the Prime Minister pledged his support to stopping nature’s most important legal protections from applying to some of the biggest developments the UK will see in coming years – leaving precious species and the places they live exposed to the threat of irreversible harm. This isn't the secure future nature needs or deserves.

This is just the latest blow to our threatened wildlife. A clear picture has emerged of a UK Government determined to make nature the scapegoat for our economic troubles.

They think nature doesn’t have a voice, but we can prove them wrong.

Email your MP today and use your voice to tell them you’ve had enough. Tell them what nature means to you and that you want it to stay protected.

We've created a template message to make it quick and easy, which you will see on the next page. But first we need to get some details so we can identify your MP.
