Let's put nature at the heart of our planning system

The new Labour Government has made it clear that getting the UK building is high on its agenda.

This means new homes and an urgent roll out of green energy, but it has to happen in the right place and in the right way, so our most important places for wildlife remain protected.

Forward-thinking planning on land and at sea can support nature’s recovery, whilst meeting house building targets and helping us transition to clean energy.

This means directing development and infrastructure away from our most important places for wildlife, and towards appropriate locations where harm to nature is avoided or minimised. Government must also provide the resources needed for the system to work properly, and build nature into new developments from the start.

Contact your MP today to show how important nature-friendly planning reforms are to you.
