Over 19,000 of you emailed your MP about the importance of taking action for nature, with some MPs receiving over 100 emails. By speaking up for nature, you made sure that MPs attended our Save Our Wild Isles Reception at Westminster, where they were able to hear first-hand from WWF, the RSPB and the National Trust – as well as influential businesses, farmers and members of the People’s Assembly for Nature – on what action we need to take to protect our wild isles.
 
We also heard from major political parties on their plans for nature, including the Environment Secretary, the Shadow Environment Secretary, and the Leader of the Liberal Democrats. We know that everyone – especially our leaders – needs to take urgent action for nature, and we will continue to challenge all political parties to act now to strengthen and enforce legal protection for nature, stop the dramatic decline in UK species and habitats, and restore it for future generations to come.
